Ethan Grunkemeyer is a quarterback from Lewis Center, Ohio, who attended Olentangy High School as a three-year letterwinner and 2023 team captain. He set school records with 8,401 career passing yards and 80 career passing touchdowns. A consensus four-star recruit, Grunkemeyer played one game at Penn State in 2024 before redshirting. In 2025, he appeared in 11 contests and made seven starts, completing 69 percent of his passes for 1,339 yards and eight touchdowns while adding one rushing touchdown. He helped Penn State secure a four-game winning streak to close the season, including a victory over Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl.
