Marcellus Hawkins is a running back from Oklahoma City who played at Putnam City High School before attending Central Missouri State. At Central Missouri, he appeared in two games in 2022, started all 13 games in 2023 earning First Team All-MIAA all-purpose honors, and played in three games in 2024. Hawkins transferred to Virginia Tech for the 2025 season, appearing in 11 games with nine starts. He led the Hokies with 118 carries for 749 yards and one touchdown, averaging 6.3 yards per carry, including 100-yard outings against Cal and Florida State. He added 12 receptions for 74 yards and one receiving touchdown.
