Jeffrey Overton Jr. is a running back for Virginia Tech standing 5'9" and weighing 205 pounds. A native of Woodbridge, Virginia, he attended Hayfield Secondary School as a senior after three seasons at Freedom High School. At Freedom, he rushed for 2,329 yards and 44 touchdowns as a junior in 2023 and set a Prince William County single-season rushing record with 2,713 yards and 42 touchdowns as a sophomore in 2022. During the 2025 season, Overton missed the first eight games due to injury before appearing in the final four contests. He recorded 25 rushing attempts for 146 yards and one touchdown, along with one reception for 36 yards against Florida State on November 15. His first touchdown as a Hokie came on a 38-yard rush versus Miami on November 22.
