Gerard Johnson III is a 6'4", 293-pound defensive lineman from Virginia Beach, Virginia, who attended Frank W. Cox High School. A three-star recruit in the 2024 class, he earned All-Beach District honors twice and was named his school's 2022 Defensive Player of the Year. As a senior, Johnson posted 50 tackles, 15 tackles for loss, five sacks, 10 passes defended and one forced fumble. He redshirted during his 2024 debut season after appearing in one game. In 2025, Johnson played in two games and made one tackle as a redshirt sophomore.
