Tai Leonard is a defensive tackle for UTSA standing 6'3" and weighing 260 pounds. The Houston native from North Shore High School was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class. Leonard made his collegiate debut in 2022, appearing in 10 games and earning Conference USA All-Freshman Team honors after posting 10 total tackles, four solo stops and three quarterback hurries. He played in all 13 contests in 2023, recording 10 total tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble. Leonard redshirted in 2024 while appearing in five games. In 2025, he started nine games and played in 11 overall, tallying 16 total tackles, 9 solo stops and 3.5 tackles for loss.
