Amare Johnson is a 6'1", 215-pound linebacker for UTSA out of Del Valle, Texas. A three-star recruit in the 2026 class, Johnson appeared in three games during the 2025 season, recording one tackle in the First Responder Bowl victory over FIU and also seeing action against No. 19 Texas A&M and South Florida. At Del Valle High School, he recorded 16 tackles including 11 solo stops and two tackles for loss, while also posting a pass breakup and one fumble recovery. Johnson is a returning roster member for the Roadrunners.
