Marcus Goree Jr. is a safety from Chattanooga, Tennessee, who attended Bradley Central High School before committing to Tennessee. A three-star recruit ranked 537th nationally in the 2024 class, he was named a consensus top-20 prospect in Tennessee. As a senior in 2023, he helped lead Bradley Central to a 13-1 record and the Class 6A state semifinals, earning Region 2-6A first-team honors. He redshirted during Tennessee's 2024 season after playing in two games and recording one tackle. In 2025, Goree appeared in contests against UAB and East Tennessee, posting a tackle in the victory over the Bucs. He transferred to Troy, where he currently plays as a sophomore.
