Hank James is a safety from Paducah, Kentucky, who attends Troy. A consensus three-star recruit, he earned rankings among the top players in his state. At Paducah Tilgham High School, James recorded 84 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks during his senior season as the Blue Tornado reached the 4A semifinals with a 12-2 record. He also returned a kickoff and punt for touchdowns. As a junior, he posted 41 tackles and an interception across 12 games while helping lead his team to a perfect 15-0 record and state championship. James, who also wrestled at Paducah Tilgham, is the brother of Troy quarterback Jack James. He currently enrolls as a true freshman.
