Richard Wesley is a true freshman edge rusher from Sylmar, California who enrolled early at Texas in spring 2026. At Sierra Canyon High School, Wesley earned five-star ratings from recruiting services while posting 29 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, and 8.5 sacks as a senior. His high school resume included 50 tackles as a freshman, 44 tackles as a sophomore, and 9.5 sacks across his final two seasons. Wesley also recorded a 23-yard rushing touchdown and a 16-yard reception on offense.
