Sawyer Wilkerson is a running back for Texas Tech who joined the program as a walk-on and redshirted during the 2025 season. From Stephenville, Texas, Wilkerson compiled over 5,600 rushing yards across four varsity seasons in high school. As a senior at Stephenville, he rushed for 1,659 yards and 26 touchdowns on 201 carries, earning All-District and second-team All-State honors while leading the school to a 12-2 record. Earlier at Comanche High School, he accumulated 2,601 yards and 29 touchdowns as a sophomore and 1,251 yards and 13 touchdowns as a junior. Wilkerson is a management major at Texas Tech.
