In 2025 as a sophomore, he appeared in all 14 games with six starts, accumulating 1,525 all-purpose yards. Williams rushed 154 times for 866 yards and six touchdowns, caught 35 passes for 388 yards and two scores, and returned six kickoffs for 242 yards and one touchdown, including a 99-yard return for a score. He was named All-Big 12 third team as a returner and honorable mention at running back, earning selection to the All-Big 12 team and finaling for the Paul Hornung Award.
