Mateen Ibirogba is a 6'4", 300-pound defensive tackle from Clarksburg, Maryland, who transfers to Texas Tech for the 2026 season with one year of eligibility remaining. He played at Georgetown (2022–2023) and Wake Forest (2024–2025), appearing in 37 games and recording 75 tackles (42 solo), 17.5 tackles for loss, and 9.0 sacks while accumulating 1,322 defensive snaps. In 2025 at Wake Forest, he appeared in 12 games, tallying 21 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks with three quarterback hurries, a forced fumble, and a blocked kick.
