Jacob Ponton is a right tackle for Texas Tech who earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors and was named to the FWAA Freshman All-America Team in 2025. The 6'8", 305-pound prospect from Dripping Springs, Texas, redshirted in 2024 before becoming a first-year starter in 2025, appearing in all 14 games and logging 942 offensive snaps according to Pro Football Focus. He recorded a 73.8 run-blocking grade and 69.2 overall offensive grade while allowing six sacks and 23 pressures over 496 pass-blocking opportunities for a 97.1 efficiency rating. Ponton was the highest-ranked Red Raider freshman honoree since punter Austin McNamara in 2019.
