Hunter Zambrano is a sixth-year senior offensive lineman for Texas Tech who began his collegiate career at Illinois State in 2020. Over four seasons with the Redbirds, he appeared in 30 games with 26 starts, primarily at left tackle, and earned All-MVFC Second Team honors as a junior in 2023. He recorded 1,637 offensive snaps and allowed seven sacks and 30 pressures over 874 pass blocking opportunities, per Pro Football Focus. After suffering a hip injury two games into his 2024 senior season, Zambrano entered the transfer portal and joined Texas Tech as a mid-year enrollee and the No. 5-ranked offensive tackle from the portal. In 2025, he played in three games before a preseason injury limited his availability, and he received a medical hardship waiver for a seventh season of eligibility in 2026.
