Howard Sampson is a left tackle for Texas Tech who transferred to the Red Raiders prior to spring 2025 after two seasons at North Texas and one at North Carolina. The Houston native made an immediate impact in 2025, starting all 14 games and recording 926 offensive snaps at his position. Sampson posted a 72.3 overall Pro Football Focus grade, highlighted by an 82.3 pass-blocking mark that ranked third on the team, while allowing four sacks and 14 pressures over 479 pass-blocking opportunities. His performance earned All-Big 12 third team honors from the conference coaches and recognition on analytics services's All-Big 12 team. Entering his senior season in 2026, Sampson has accumulated over 1,800 snaps at left tackle.
