Ashton Hampton is a left cornerback for Texas Tech from Pearland, Texas. The redshirt sophomore appeared in 13 of 14 games in 2025, contributing five total tackles, two pass breakups, and one fumble recovery. Hampton recorded tackles against Kent State, Oregon State, West Virginia, and Utah, including a career-high two stops in the final drive against Utah. He appeared in the final two games of the 2024 season, recording two tackles in the AutoZero Liberty Bowl, one a seven-yard loss. A consensus three-star recruit, Hampton was named All-District 23-6A first team in his final two prep seasons after recording 39 tackles, five interceptions, and seven pass breakups as a senior at Pearland High School.
