Amier Boyd is a 6'2" cornerback from Phoenix, Arizona who transferred to Texas Tech prior to spring 2025 after three seasons at UTEP. At the Miners, he appeared in 24 games with five starts and recorded 35 tackles, two interceptions, six pass breakups and one forced fumble. In his 2025 junior season with the Red Raiders, Boyd started six of 13 games played, totaling 27 tackles with 2.0 for a loss. He intercepted two passes and broke up seven passes, which ranked second on the team. Pro Football Focus credited him with 528 defensive snaps and a 73.4 overall grade. Boyd has two remaining seasons of eligibility at Texas Tech.
