Bio

Amare Campbell is a 6'0", 230-pound linebacker from Manassas, Virginia, who attended Unity Reed High School. He enrolled early at North Carolina in 2023 as a three-star prospect, appearing in 11 games with one start as a freshman and recording 14 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack and an interception. Campbell started all 13 games in 2024 as a sophomore, finishing second on the team with 76 tackles (45 solo) and adding 10.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks before entering the transfer portal. He spent his junior season at Penn State under Jim Knowles in 2025, collecting 103 total tackles (64 solo) with 9.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown across 13 starts. Campbell earned All-Big Ten Third Team honors from the media that season. He has transferred to Tennessee and enrolled in January 2026, participating in spring practice as a senior.
