Grayson Mains is a 6'5", 300-pound center from Cumming, Georgia who transferred to Temple after playing two seasons at South Carolina. At Lambert High School, he played offensive tackle and was rated the 78th best player in Georgia by recruiting services. Mains redshirted his freshman year in 2022 and appeared on the SEC Academic Honor Roll. He saw action on the FG/PAT protection unit as a redshirt freshman in 2023. In 2024, he started the first nine games at center before suffering an injury at Tulane that forced him out of the following game; he returned at guard in the season finale and lettered. During the 2025 season, Mains began as the team's starting center, appeared in every game, and served as a team captain, though he was hurt in practice and missed starting against Tulane while still playing the majority of that contest. He earned preseason third team All-American Conference honors from Athlon Sports entering both 2025 and 2026.
