The DeSoto, Texas native arrived at TCU as a three-star recruit rated No. 102 at his position nationally and No. 145 in Texas. In his junior year at DeSoto High School, Abrams recorded 87 tackles including 29 for loss and 23.5 sacks while forcing two fumbles and recording a safety. As a sophomore, he totaled 74 tackles with 15.5 for loss and 10.5 sacks, helping lead DeSoto to a Texas 6A Division II state championship. Abrams did not play during his freshman season in 2025.
