Sarrel Howard is a true freshman outside linebacker for Stanford from Los Angeles, California. He attended City Honors International Preparatory High School and played for Inglewood High School under head coach Mil'von James. A three-star recruit ranked No. 7 among outside linebackers in California and No. 80 nationally at his position, Howard earned three varsity letters in football and four in track and field. During his final two seasons at Inglewood, he recorded 20 total sacks, including 12 as a junior, along with 44 quarterback hurries. As a senior, he posted 98 tackles with 20 tackles-for-loss and earned First Team All-Bay League honors as part of a Bay League Championship team.
