Omar Staples is a 6'3", 270-pound defensive line end for Stanford from Oakland, California, where he attended Oakland Tech. A redshirt junior, Staples made his collegiate debut as a sophomore in 2024, appearing in 11 games and recording six tackles and one sack. In 2025, he appeared in all 12 games for the first time, posting career highs of 20 tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss while adding a second collegiate sack against SMU on October 11. He forced a fumble in the Big Game that was returned for a touchdown on November 22.
