John White is a quarterback for Southern Miss who hails from West, Mississippi and attended Madison-Ridgeland Academy, where he set the state all-time passing yards record with 15,259 career yards and 177 total touchdowns. As a senior, he threw for 3,557 yards and 42 touchdowns while earning MAIS 6A Player of the Year honors. White appeared in four games during his freshman season in 2024, completing 17 of 31 passes for 240 yards with three interceptions across contests against USF, Jacksonville State, and South Alabama. In 2025, the redshirt sophomore saw limited action, appearing in one game where he completed his only pass attempt versus Jackson State on September 6.
