David Griffin is a defensive lineman from New Orleans, LA, who attended Holy Cross HS. At the high school level, Griffin played three years on the defensive line, recording 25 tackles as a junior, including four for loss. He redshirted during his first season at Southern Miss in 2023 and did not appear in games during the 2024 and 2025 seasons. Griffin, a rising junior, is majoring in Business and returns to the Golden Eagles roster.
