Ari Slocum is a true freshman left guard for Southern Mississippi, standing 6'3" and weighing 305 pounds. The Farmerville, Louisiana native attended Union Parish High School, where he played multiple positions across offense and defense. As a junior, he recorded five receptions for 108 yards and one touchdown from tight end while contributing 42 pancake blocks. Defensively, he posted 48 tackles including seven for loss, one pass breakup, one fumble recovery, and 14 quarterback hurries across his prep career. Union Parish won the Louisiana Division III Non-Select state championship with a 36-35 victory over St. James during his time there.
