Nasim Cairo is a 6'2", 280-pound defensive tackle for Southern Miss who transferred from Southeast Missouri State. At Edwardsville High School, he earned First-Team All-Southwestern Conference honors with 55 tackles and five sacks. During his freshman year at Southeast Missouri in 2022, Cairo appeared in all 12 games, recording 25 tackles, 7.0 tackles for loss, and 4.0 sacks. He started all 13 games as a junior in 2024, finishing with 40 stops and earning Second-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference-Big South selection. In 2025, his senior season at Southern Miss, he has appeared in four games with 10 tackles, including a fumble recovery versus Arkansas State.
