Darrell Gross is a defensive lineman for Southern Miss standing 6'1" and weighing 292 pounds. A native of Madison, Mississippi, Gross attended Germantown High School before joining East Mississippi Community College. During his 2024 freshman season at EMCC, he recorded 12 tackles with five solo stops, one tackle for loss, and one sack. In 2025, he earned MACCC second-team North Division honors while posting 20 tackles (11 solo), 6 tackles for loss totaling 23 yards, and two sacks for 13 yards. Gross is a returning junior for the Golden Eagles.
