Gerald Kilgore, a 6'0" native of Eatonton, Georgia, transferred to South Carolina after three seasons at Tennessee Tech. At the Golden Eagles, the redshirt freshman recorded 37 tackles and five pass breakups across 11 games in 2023, with 24 tackles and all five breakups coming in the final four contests after entering the starting lineup. In his first year with the Gamecocks in 2024, Kilgore appeared in all 13 games primarily on special teams with seven tackles. During the 2025 season, the redshirt senior played in all 12 games and posted 14 tackles with one tackle for loss, two interceptions, and one pass breakup. He returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown against Kentucky and earned SEC Fall Academic Honor Roll recognition.
