CJ June is a safety for the Sam Houston Bearkats. The true freshman from Prince George's County, Maryland, attended Westfield High School in Indianapolis, where he earned three varsity letters. As a senior, June received all-state recognition; he earned honorable mention all-state honors as a junior. During his prep career, June compiled 104 tackles, 6 interceptions, and 20 pass breakups while also recording 2 forced fumbles, 835 total return yards, and 2 touchdowns. He helped lead Westfield to consecutive state appearances in his final two seasons. June's father, Cato, played college football at Michigan and was selected in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft by Indianapolis, where he won Super Bowl XLI.
