Cooper Alexander is a 6'4", 241-pound tight end from Washington, Oklahoma, where he played for Washington High School under coach Brad Beller. He earned back-to-back 15-0 state championship seasons as a junior and senior, recording 32 catches for 491 yards and eight touchdowns in his final year. Alexander was rated a three-star prospect and ranked No. 12 at his position by national outlets. He committed to Iowa State, redshirting in 2024 after appearing in the season opener against North Dakota. In 2025, he played in 11 games, posting five receptions for 47 yards, including a 14-yard grab at Arkansas State, two catches for 17 yards against BYU, and an 18-yard reception versus Kansas. Alexander earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2025 before transferring to Penn State as a redshirt sophomore.
