Gabe Burkle is a 6'6" tight end from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who played at Prairie High School before joining Iowa State. At the high school level, he was a three-star prospect who caught 23 passes for 324 yards and a touchdown as a senior. During his time with the Cyclones from 2022 to 2025, Burkle earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2024 and was named to the John Mackey Award Watch List in 2025. In 2025, he appeared in nine games with seven starts, recording 26 receptions for 302 yards and one touchdown while averaging 11.6 yards per reception. He now transfers to Penn State as a redshirt senior.
