George Hamsley is a 6'4", 240-pound quarterback from Memphis, Tennessee, who attended Memphis University School. He began his college career at LSU, where he was redshirted in 2022 and did not appear in games during 2022 or 2023. He transferred to Tennessee State and appeared in one game in 2024 with no recorded statistics. Hamsley joined Ole Miss as a non-scholarship transfer in January 2025 and participated in spring drills. A finance major, he completed 2,852 passing yards and 24 touchdowns as a high school senior and was selected for the 2021 Liberty Bowl High School All-Star Game.
