A four-star recruit from the 2024 class, Maddox was rated among the top 10 quarterbacks by national outlets and a top 20 prospect in Mississippi. At Oak Grove High School, he led his team to the first-ever MHSAA 7A state title as a senior and was named MVP of the state championship.
