Alex Shieldnight is a defensive lineman for the Oklahoma Sooners. The 6'2", 255-pound redshirt freshman from Wagoner, Oklahoma was a consensus three-star recruit in the 2025 class, ranked No. 36 weakside defensive end by Rivals and No. 10 overall prospect in Oklahoma by national outlets. In his senior season at Wagoner High School, he recorded 59 tackles, 26.0 tackles for loss, and 5.0 sacks on defense while also catching 18 receptions for 206 yards and three touchdowns on offense before sustaining a season-ending injury. Shieldnight enrolled at Oklahoma in January 2025 and made his collegiate debut against Kent State on October 4, 2025.
