Matthew Nelson is a 6'5", 232-pound true freshman defensive end for the Oklahoma Sooners from Bryant, Arkansas. At Bryant High School, he was named a 2025 AAA All-State honoree and ranked among the top edge prospects nationally, including No. 44 by Rivals and No. 52 by recruiting services. During his senior season, Nelson recorded 51 tackles, 22.0 for loss, 7.5 sacks, and a forced fumble while helping lead Bryant to the Arkansas 7A state finals in back-to-back years.
