Blake Van Buren is a 6'4", 250-pound tight end for Northwestern wearing No. 83. The Middleton, Wisconsin native arrived at Northwestern as a preferred walk-on and redshirted in 2022. Van Buren appeared in six games during his redshirt first-year in 2023, accumulating 48 snaps on special teams, and was named Academic All-Big Ten. He did not see game action in 2024 while earning Academic All-Big Ten honors again. In 2025, Van Buren appeared in all 13 games with four starts, recording his first career tackle and making his first career start against Purdue on 10/18.
