Zander Smith is a quarterback for North Dakota State who hails from Lakeland, Florida, where he attended Lakeland High School. As a four-year starter under coach Marvin Frazier, Smith led his team to a 12-3 record and state championship in 2023, earning Polk County Offensive Player of the Year honors as a junior. He compiled over 8,000 passing yards and 80 touchdowns during his prep career. Smith redshirted during the 2025 season without appearing in games and currently majors in psychology.
