Preston Brown is a kick returner from Festus, Missouri, who attended Hillsboro High School as a three-year starter under coach Bill Sucharski. As a junior, he earned all-conference and all-state honors at quarterback, throwing for 32 touchdown passes in one season while leading Hillsboro to a 12-2 record and state runner-up finish. He finished his high school career with 4,135 passing yards and 52 touchdowns, adding 2,442 rushing yards and 34 rushing scores. Brown appeared in eight games during his 2025 freshman season with North Dakota State on special teams, recording two kickoff returns for 40 yards with a long of 26 yards against St. Thomas and two tackles on kickoff coverage.
