Thomas Roberts is a defensive end for North Dakota State, standing 6'4" and weighing 275 pounds. The true freshman from Albion, Nebraska, attended Boone Central High School, where he started for three seasons under coach Mark Hudson. Roberts earned all-state first team honors as a junior and was a two-time all-district first team selection at defensive end. Over his high school career, he recorded 178 tackles, 52.5 tackles for loss, and 21 sacks. As a senior, he posted 20 tackles for loss and 11 sacks. He was a team captain and helped lead Boone Central to four state playoff appearances, including a 13-0 state championship in 2023. Roberts redshirted in 2025, appearing in no games.
