Skyler Werner is a defensive tackle for North Dakota State, standing 6'2" and weighing 270 pounds. The true freshman from Savage, Minnesota, graduated from Prior Lake High School in 2026, where he served as a three-year starter on the defensive line and team captain under coach Matt Gegenheimer. During his senior year, Werner recorded 48 total tackles and two sacks. Across his high school career, he accumulated 100 total tackles, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, two recoveries, and one pass breakup. Werner was selected to the Minnesota all-star game and also competes in track and field. He plans to major in exercise science.
