Zach Vanderpool is a 6'5", 285-pound left defensive tackle for North Dakota State. The Byron, Minnesota native redshirted in 2024 and appeared in 12 games during his 2025 freshman season, recording 18 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.0 sacks. He forced a fumble against Tennessee State and recovered one versus Youngstown State in the fourth quarter of a 38-30 victory. Vanderpool earned selection to the FCS Football Central Freshman All-America Team, Phil Steele FCS Freshman All-America Second Team, and the MVFC All-Newcomer Team.
