Travis Burgess is a quarterback for the North Carolina Tar Heels who hails from Grayson, Georgia, where he attended Grayson High School under coach Santavious Bryant. A 4-star recruit ranked 231st nationally in the 2026 class, Burgess was selected for the Elite 11 Finals. As a junior, he threw for 2,225 yards and 23 touchdowns on 154 completions in 256 attempts (60.2%), while adding 596 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on 58 carries (10.3 yards per attempt). He helped lead the Rams to a Georgia 6A State Championship with a 14-1 record and to a No. 7 ranking in the MaxPreps Top 25 in 2024. Burgess joins the program as a true freshman in 2025-26.
