Peyton Seelmann is a linebacker from Mechanicsville, Virginia who attended Hanover High School, where he earned First Team All-Metro honors at linebacker and First Team All-Region recognition at running back. He played two seasons at Richmond before transferring to North Carolina. During his 2025 sophomore campaign with the Spiders, Seelmann recorded 120 total tackles—52 solo—and was named First Team All-Patriot League. He added 2.5 sacks, two interceptions, five pass breakups, four quarterback hurries, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. His 20-tackle performance against Bucknell marked the most by a Richmond defender since 2019. Seelmann now competes for the Tar Heels as a junior transfer.
