Jake Bauer is a 6'1", 225-pound weak-side linebacker from West Chester, PA, who attended Malvern Prep. A three-star recruit ranked No. 147 nationally among linebackers in the composite recruiting rankings, Bauer appeared in four games during his 2025 freshman season at North Carolina, taking the field against TCU, Charlotte, Richmond, and Wake Forest before redshirting. He recorded 90 tackles as a junior in high school along with seven tackles for loss and three interceptions, also scoring three touchdowns as a fullback. Bauer returns to the Tar Heels roster for the 2026 season.
