Daniel Anderson is a 6'1", 245-pound linebacker for North Carolina from Memphis, Tennessee. An early enrollee and three-star prospect, Anderson attended Germantown High School, where he was ranked the nation's 52nd-best edge rusher and No. 22 player in Tennessee by recruiting services. He recorded 103 tackles, 18 sacks, and 46 tackles for loss over three prep seasons and was a two-time team captain and all-state selection. Anderson redshirted his freshman year in 2024. In 2025, his redshirt sophomore season, he appeared in 11 games and recorded three total tackles, including two stops against Richmond and one against Cal while contributing to Carolina's special teams units.
