Deems May is a 6'2", 230-pound tight end from Charlotte, NC, where he was a two-time team captain at Myers Park High School. He arrived at North Carolina in 2022 as a true freshman and redshirted that season. In 2023, May appeared in four games with one start, recording one reception for 12 yards against Campbell. During the 2024 redshirt sophomore campaign, he appeared in every game and contributed to special teams, helping UNC's kickoff return unit finish 10th nationally and second in the ACC in yards per return. May did not play in 2025 due to injury. He returns as a redshirt senior for the 2026 season.
