Aidan Banfield is a junior left guard for North Carolina from Buford, Georgia, where he attended Mill Creek High School. An early enrollee and three-star recruit, Banfield appeared and started in 11 games as a true freshman in 2024, earning FWAA Freshman All-American honors—the first Carolina offensive lineman to receive the accolade. He was one of just four offensive linemen among 21 true freshmen nationally to earn the honor. As a sophomore in 2025, Banfield appeared in five games, starting the first four at left guard before an injury ended his season. He posted a 70.6 pass-blocking grade and recorded an 80.9 pass-blocking mark in his best performance against Charlotte.
