Mercury Swaim is a weak-side linebacker for New Mexico standing 5'11" and weighing 216 pounds. A native of Bedford, Pennsylvania, he transferred to the Lobos after earning his degree in chemistry from St. Francis. During the 2025 redshirt junior season, Swaim appeared in 12 games and compiled 52 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and two pass breakups. He tied for second on the team in tackles for loss and recorded 50 of his 52 tackles in conference or postseason play. His strongest performance came against Air Force, where he registered 11 tackles including a sack and a pass breakup.
