Cameron Mathews is a running back from Houston, TX who lettered at Dobie High School, where he earned back-to-back District MVP honors. He rushed for 1,000 yards in three consecutive seasons, including 1,037 yards with 13 touchdowns as a sophomore, 1,679 yards with 20 touchdowns as a junior, and 1,544 yards with 17 touchdowns as a senior, averaging 11.1 yards per carry in his final year. Mathews added 30 career receptions for 543 yards and four touchdowns in high school. He played in one game during his 2025 freshman season at Memphis, recording a special teams tackle before earning a redshirt, and has since transferred to New Mexico.
