Shawn Hammerbeck is a 6'6", 265-pound right tackle from Hamill, South Dakota, who played for Winner High School. As a senior, he earned the Outstanding Lineman award in the state championship game as Winner finished 12-0. A two-time all-state selection, Hammerbeck received 2024 All-American honors on the 11B all-state team. He also competed in basketball, averaging 15.5 points and 10.8 rebounds as a junior, and won a Class A gold medal in discus (163-3) in track and field. Hammerbeck enrolled at Nebraska as a three-star recruit. In 2025, he appeared in games against Akron and Houston Christian while redshirting and earned Tom Osborne Citizenship Team recognition.
